[4/10] summer and bird by katherine catmull

"Since they were small, their mother had left them notes on special occassions, like birthdays, or after big fights or soccer goals. They were written in pictures instead of words, at first because they hadn’t yet learned to read, and later because they loved decoding the pictures. An eye, a sun, a fish, a smile; I saw Summer swim and it made me happy. Sun always meant Summer. A bird always meant Bird. It was a special mother-game; their father never could get the picture words right."

If homophobia were a conversation about food...

  • Homophobic Person: My favorite food is pizza!
  • Homosexual Person: Cool! My favorite food is pasta!
  • Bisexual Person: I like both!
  • Pansexual Person: Hey guys, I don't have a favorite! I'll pretty much eat what tastes good to me.
  • Asexual Person: I like the way food looks and smells more than the way it tastes.
  • Homophobic Person: whAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU DISGUSTING PEOPLE WHY ISN'T PIZZA YOUR FAVORITE FOOD?!?! YOU'RE GOING TO HELL.

I love people who are open-minded. People who just vibe with whatever you talk about. You can talk about anything and everything.

Scandinavian tales and creatures

Blåkulla is a legendary meadow where the Devil holds his earthly court during a witches’ sabbath that coincident with Easter. The only way of getting there is by flying, usually on a broom or some other enchanted tool. During this sabbath the witches eat and drink and dance for days, stopping only to have sex with each other, the demons and the Devil himself.

how do girls know that they’re off of their periods? do their vaginas like ding or something?

an elf pops out and throws confetti at us and yells “YOU’RE FREE! See you next month”

so you give birth to an elf every month?
